UltimateBet Continues Password Protected Online Poker Tournaments for WSOP Academy Seat

February 4, 2009 - Leading online poker site UltimateBet today announced that it is continuing its World Series of Poker Academy promotion through the Ultimate Poker Show on Rounders Radio. The online poker site is giving away a Las Vegas prize package that includes a seat at March 14th’s World Series of Poker Academy and $1,000 for travel and accommodations. Texas Hold’em fans can win their way to Las Vegas through a locked $5 buy-in tournament each Sunday, the password for which is announced every Sunday on Rounders Radio’s Ultimate Poker Show.

“Texas Hold’em fans who want to take their game to the next level now have another big reason to tune in to the greatest radio show about online poker,” stated Annie Duke, UltimateBet’s Cardroom Consultant. The world poker champion is a frequent co-host of the Rounders Radio program, which airs every Sunday night from 8pm to 10pm ET and is hosted by UltimateBet’s Mark “P0ker H0” Kroon.

All final table players in each Sunday’s password protected poker tournament will secure a spot in a freeroll on March 9th. So far, 18 players have already won a seat in March 9th’s freeroll by listening to Rounders Radio for the code and entering the password protected tournament. The code for this Sunday’s locked Texas Hold’em event will be released on the Ultimate Poker Show on Rounders Radio. The final table players from each $5 buy-in tournament will win a spot in a freeroll on March 9th where the winner of the final Texas Hold’em match will secure a seat at the World Series of Poker Academy, set to get underway on March 14th and 15th at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. UltimateBet will also credit the winner’s account with $1,000 for travel and accommodations. Players who finish 2nd through 9th will secure a full month of Pro Play Live.

UltimateBet has built a reputation for releasing private tournament codes through a variety of online and offline channels. The online poker site recently hid the code for a $1,000 freeroll on its blog, encouraging anyone who discovered it to use it for a free tournament entry.
