Poker Legend Phil Hellmuth Hits Europe in Search of 12th WSOP® Bracelet
Miami, FL (PRWeb) September 10, 2007 – It looks like legendary poker player Phil Hellmuth won’t have to wait until the 2008 World Series of Poker® to go after a 12th bracelet. The UltimateBet pro has officially touched down in London and is set to play poker in the WSOP® Europe Main Event.
The inaugural six-day, £10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold'Em championship event begins on September 10th, 2007 at Casino at the Empire in London.
On June 11th, Hellmuth captured his record-shattering 11th WSOP® bracelet after winning a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event in Las Vegas. That win makes Hellmuth the only player to have earned 11 WSOP® bracelets. Phil is also the youngest player to ever win the WSOP® Main Event and he holds the record for most WSOP® cashes with a seemingly untouchable 63.
September will prove to be a busy month for Hellmuth. The UltimateBet pro is also slated to play in the much-anticipated 2007 Aruba Poker Classic from September 29th through October 6th. In addition to playing in the Main Event, Hellmuth will also headline WSOP® Academy Aruba Edition. The 4-hour long session will offer attendees an assortment of strategies and tips and is especially useful for those online poker players who have never played in a major land-based Texas Hold’em tournament.
