Poker Pro Phil Hellmuth Invades London Aboard Double-Decker Bus

poker player europe Miami, FL (PRWeb) September 11, 2007 – Prince William, Kate Middleton and The Beckhams owe a special thanks to poker legend Phil Hellmuth. The paparazzi have shifted their lenses to the UltimateBet pro, keeping the typical headline-makers out of the British tabloids this week.

Phil Hellmuth, in town for WSOP® Europe, grabbed the attention of European media as he toured London’s most famous sights aboard an UltimateBet Hellmuth Invasion-branded double-decker bus. The 11-time WSOP® bracelet winner was accompanied by 12 models, each one outfitted in a seductive police uniform.

Tourists and locals snapped photographs and shouted, “We love you, Phil,” as the red bus made its way through London en route to the WSOP®.

“I thought all the commotion was for the Royal Family,” stated one onlooker outside of Buckingham Palace. “But when I saw the Hellmuth bus, the Beatles-esque excitement made a lot more sense.”

In addition to the onslaught of media, Hellmuth’s tour garnered the attention of the real police. On the way to the Casino at the Empire, Hellmuth and his entourage were stopped for reasons not yet known.

Hellmuth already set a personal record at this year’s WSOP® Europe, arriving only 20 minutes late for the Main Event. The UltimateBet pro is famous for leaving his WSOP® seats empty for several hours. However, some Hellmuth critics argue that Hellmuth only showed up relatively early because he was confused by the time difference in the UK.

The inaugural six-day, £10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold'Em championship is now underway at Casino at the Empire in London.

On June 11th, Hellmuth captured his record-shattering 11th WSOP® bracelet after winning a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event in Las Vegas. That win makes Hellmuth the only player to have earned 11 WSOP® bracelets. Phil is also the youngest poker player to ever win the WSOP® Main Event and he holds the record for most WSOP® cashes with a seemingly untouchable 63.

Phil Hellmuth London Hellmuth is hoping to break his own record with a 12th bracelet. Readers can keep up with Hellmuth by visiting www.ultimatebetblog.com
