I think it's fair to say that this has been the best World Series of Poker in recent memory. The Series itself has been well-run without many serious issues. The changes in tournament structure has allowed for more play, and that may explain why so many well-known players have been capturing the bracelets. Not that this has kept amateurs and dreamers away--the fields have consistently been bigger than last year.

The food's better this year. There's more room between tables. Dare I say the coverage of the World Series has been the best it's ever been? And it's all leading up to one thing--the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event. The pinnacle of poker, the game's ultimate showcase.
