Told You It'd Be A Long Day

Play has concluded for the day at the World Series of Poker-Europe Main Event (whew), and with the field winnowed down to thirty-two Annie Duke sits with 286,000 in chips, good enough for 10th place. She's already cashed for at least £27,150, and no doubt she put that figure immediately out of her mind. No, the numbers she's thinking about are 1,000,000 (which is the first-place prize money, in pounds) and 2 (which will be the number of WSOP bracelets she'll own if she wins).
Tomorrow she'll be seated with two of the chip leaders to her left, along with the short-stacked Erick Lindgren. They'll play down to the final poker table, which might make for another long, LONG day for Annie. Well, let's hope so, at least.
