I believe it was T.J. Cloutier who once said that he didn't care if he didn't knock a single person out of a
poker tournament--so long as he knocked out the
last person. Because that would mean that he won the tournament. Forgive me for stating the obvious.
But there is a delicious little thrill that comes from eliminating a
poker player in a tournament. Maybe you feel a tiny
frisson of empathy as the vanquished rises from the table, exchanges limp handshakes with those still at play, and stares as you stack his chips into neat piles. But those tender feelings quickly pass. He's gone. You have just a brief moment to savor this moment of triumph before setting it aside. The fight goes on.
Well, if you play in tonight's $5,000 Guaranteed Bounty Tournament, you get more than a feeling of satisfaction when you knock someone out. Every player in the event (which starts at 10:30PM ) will have a $10 price on their head, and if you knock someout out, you get the ten bucks.
