The Hours, They Are Long

Annie Duke goes for her second World Series of Poker bracelet today after making the final table...today. The $5,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi-Low event played well into the morning, wrapping up at the ludicrous hour of 7am. They try to give players at least ten hours before resuming play so the final table won't begin until 5pm this afternoon.
This year at the World Series is becoming known as the "Year of the Pro", because so many well-known players are capturing the bracelets. This year is also becoming notorious for having extremely-long sessions to set final tables. The two go hand-in-hand--the change in blind structures allow for more play, which is to the benefit of the better player. Hence, more pros doing well. Hence, more sleepy-eyed people staggering around the Rio.
The last elimination of the day was Howard Lederer, Annie's brother. That would've made for a compelling storyline but with Annie, Chris Ferguson and Marcel Luske playing for the bracelet there's no shortage of star power. I don't know if ESPN360 will be showing this final table but you can follow along with the live updates and see if Annie captures bracelet #2.
