I wrote yesterday that the 2008 World Series of Poker is just around the corner, which means that the Main Event is about six weeks from being just around the corner. If you're playing in the Main Event now is the time to lock up your seat--you don't want to be playing mega-satellites at the last minute, when your bankroll and/or confidence might not be at their highest. If you go to Vegas with your Main Event ticket already punched you can play with complete confidence, knowing that no matter what happens you'll be taking part in the world's biggest poker tournament.

Last night UltimateBet held a 25-Seat Giveaway for the Main Event and those who triumphed won a $12,000 WSOP package. We had 728 runners for last night's Giveaway meaning we had 32 packages to, uh, give away.
