One Down, One On

The first event of the UltimateBet Online Championship was taken down last night by shotskee, who defeated LifetimeTilt heads up to win the $30,820 first prize. According to his profile on PocketFives this is shotskee's biggest tournament win, and he now sits atop the UBOC Leaderboard as well. The player who has the best results over the entire UBOC stands to win an additional $100,000, so players will be fighting tooth and nail for every tiny step up the ladder.
And right now 355 (and counting) players are looking to add their names to the mix. The $100+9 rebuy NL Hold-Em event is under way and I don't see shotskee's name among those playing. So someone will be tied with him atop the Leaderboard by the end of the day...actually, three people could be tied for first, as the $50,000 Guaranteed $200+15 Pot-Limit Omaha Event starts at 6pm EDT. Then again, shotskee might be playing in that poker tournament and could earn some points to take sole possession of first place. Or maybe someone who made an earlier final table will win and move ahead. It's all very confusing. You'll just have to keep checking back to keep up with it all.
