On the heels of the Ante Up For Africa tournament that helped draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Darfur, Annie Duke is hosting a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish foundation of Los Angeles on August 12th. The Aces for Wishes tournament will be held in Los Angeles at Social on Sunset Boulevard, and after looking at their website I'd gladly pay the $350 entry fee just to walk around the place for fifteen minutes. But there will be prizes awarded to participants as well as food, appetizers, and drinks. We'll post a reminder as the day approaches but it's never too early to mark an event like this on your calendar.
