The story of how Chris Moneymaker won the 2003 World Series of Poker is the stuff of legend. Moneymaker was an amateur; before taking his seat in the Main Event he'd never played poker in a casino; and he secured that seat by winning a $40 satellite. Raymer qualified for the Main Event by winning a $160 satellite. Just last year Jerry Yang won the Main Event (and $8.25 million) thanks to winning a $225 satellite.
You're probably thinking that I'm going to say something along the lines of, "Look what these players accomplished after such a tiny investment!". And you'd be right...up to a point. - 226th through 1,025th - You've secured you spot in a freeroll at 11:15am ET on May 24th where you'll have a 1 in 5 chance of winning your $500+30 seat in the 25-seat Guarantee.
- 1,026th through 1,825th - You're entered into a freeroll at 10:45am ET on May 24th where you'll have a 1 in 10 chance of winning your $500+30 seat in the 25-seat Guarantee.
- 1,826th through 2,625th - You're entered into a freeroll at 10:30am ET on May 24th where you'll have a 1 in 20 chance of winning your seat in the 25-seat Guarantee.
- 2,626th through 3,427th - You're entered into a freeroll at 10:15am ET on May 24th where you'll have a 1 in 50 chance of winning your seat in the 25-seat Guarantee.
