Poker legend T.J. Cloutier once said that he didn't care how many people he knocked out of a poker tournament--so long as he knocked out the last one. Rather a clever way of looking at the situation--the important thing is to win the tournament, not wipe out the field by yourself. Chances are you're playing a big pot when another player is all-in against you, and sometimes in those big pots the cards don't go your way. And losing a big pot might mean your head is next on the chopping block.

But here at UltimateBet we've introduced a series of tourneys where EVERYONE starts with a bullseye on their back. In our new Sniper tournaments there are two ways to win--either you make a deep run and make the money the old-fashioned way, or you collect the scalps of your fellow players and rake in the bucks that way.

Because for every player you eliminate, you collect that player's bounty. And since every player has a bounty on their head you'll constantly be in pursuit of fresh quarry. A big chunk of the prize pool is set aside for bounties, so if you want to make a big score in one of our Sniper tournaments you have to be a little more willing to put your stack at risk.

And of course once you knock out a dozen or two of your fellow players and build up a monster stack, that renders you (temporarily, at least) invulnerable to having your own ticket punched. A big stack is always a huge advantage in poker--chips are ammunition, and when you're in a shootout it's always best to have the gun with the most bullets. In a Sniper tournament, your stack also acts as armor--even if a smaller-stacked player gets the best of you, he won't collect your bounty. And that gives you a chance to rebuild your stack, send a few more runners to the rail, and still make the day a very profitable one.

There are four Sniper tournaments held each day, with buy-ins to fit any bankroll...
  • 8pm ET Sniper Tournaments: $10k Guaranteed ($10+1) and $20k Guaranteed ($20+2)
  • 9pm ET Sniper Tournaments: $40k Guaranteed ($100+9) and $80k Guaranteed ($200+15)
  • 2pm ET Sniper Tournaments: $9k Guaranteed ($30+3)
  • 3pm ET Sniper Tournaments: $6k Guaranteed ($6+.60)
...and if you happen to win the most bounties in any of these events you'll be entered into a 7-person freeroll held the following Saturday at 1:30pm ET. Win the freeroll and you receive a free entry into another sniper tournament of the same buy-in. And if you  collect the most bounties in a particular Sniper tournament over the course of the entire week (from Saturday to Friday) you'll also be freerolling in your next Sniper event.

And so the circle of Life goes on. Well, it goes on for you--it comes to a quick and sudden end for all those unfortunately players you eliminate.
