Heads-up matches have become the latest craze in the poker world, and tomorrow is a big one-on-one day here at UltimateBet. The second Heads-Up SmackDown event kicks off tomorrow at 2pm ET, as 32 players ponied up $1000 each to battle for a spot in the Sweet Sixteen.
Also at 2pm tomorrow are the semi-final matchups for the first SmackDown tournament. The first match pits drpuddy (who took out online superstar Annette_15) against GenghisKan, while the other features redbull77 against the wonderfully-named yngmanN4quiki. And with all the SmackDown events, the eventual winner gets to take on Phil Hellmuth in a best-of-three heads-up match for $30,000.
Heads-up matches are usually displays of fierce, aggressive poker, and therefore a lot of fun to watch. And you can also pick up some insight watching how some of the best heads-up players do battle. Tune in tomorrow at 2pm and you might actually learn something.
