Full Court Press

When I covered the UltimateBet Aruba Poker Classic last September I shared Press Row (which was actually a table draped with a cloth) with a friendly and helpful guy named Courtney. He was covering the event for PocketFives and, as he seemed to know the secret online identity of every player in the field, he helped me out a ton.
Well, last night I checked to see what was going on at the WPT's World Poker Challenge in Reno (is it a law now that J.C. Tran and Joe Sebok must go deep in EVERY event?) and as I looked over the list the name in 27th place--Courtney Harrington--rung the proverbial bell. I knew that Court was a player of no small ability...could this be he?
And, indeed, it is he. Him, sorry. Court has made the final three tables in Reno, and while he'll enter play today as the shortstack--he has $36,000 and faces blinds of $2000/$4000 with a $400 ante--he's got chips in front of him and that's all that matters. Reading through Card Player's recaps Court won a big hand when he knocked out Nam Le and Beau Smith with KK against their JJ and AQ. Hopefully he'll see some cowboys again early in the session today.
