Eric 'Rizen' Lynch Joins UltimateBet's Star Player Team

One of the most respected players in the game, live or online, has joined UltimateBet's Star Player team. Eric "Rizen" Lynch has had enormous success both playing online and in some of the biggest live tournaments in the world, and his signing brings a wealth of experience and talent to the UB team.
"I'm extremely pleased to be a part of the new team at UltimateBet," Lynch said. "I've been playing on the online poker site for over four years now and have always enjoyed the fast software and the excellent structure that the tournaments offer. With the new tournament schedule and many of the exciting changes coming up, I'm very excited that I get to be involved."
Lynch's signing comes close on the heels of the addition of Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy to the UltimateBet team, and signing two players who are so respected in the poker community and who have such a wealth of experience and insight into poker should be a boon to everyone who plays at UB.
"We're extremely impressed with Rizen's talent both at the online poker tables and at land-based tournaments," says Annie Duke, UltimateBet's Cardroom Consultant. "But we're most impressed with the integrity and strong values he shares with Josephy."
Both Lynch and Josephy played in last night's $1,000 No-Limit Hold-Em w/rebuys event, and I'm sad to say that I wasn't able to get a good shot of JohnnyBax before he was eliminated. But I did get an OK shot of Eric Lynch before he too was knocked out (and it was a pretty sick hand, too--Amit Makhija's AK vs. Rizen's QQ, the flop was A-Q-Q, and Amit spiked a king on the river. Ouch). Anyway, here's a pic from slightly happier times:
Still in today's event is Phil Hellmuth, who doesn't look especially happy in this picture and isn't especially happy at the moment, what with his being pushed of a pot just a few minutes ago. That sparked a minor tirade, but Phil still has chips, he's still in the game, any with Phil anything can happen.
