Of course you know that back in December UltimateBet invited poker players to send in funny videos to qualify for one of 36 seats for The Best Damn Poker Show. Filming is complete and the show will be airing sometime in February. And when it does, believe me, you'll wanna see it.

Because I saw a brief trailer for it last week, and it's going to be very...entertaining. The idea is that Annie Duke and Phil Hellmuth watch the qualifiers play at six 6-handed tables, critique the play, and choose players for their respective teams. Annie and Phil are both extremely competitive people and let's just say that the sparks start flying before the players even take their seats. Did I say sparks? I meant thunderbolts hurled down from the mountaintops. I don't know what the budget was for bleeping out words, but I think we went way, WAY over just in the first five minutes.

We'll keep you posted about when the show will air, and when UB will start accepting applications for the SECOND Best Damn Poker Show. Because we're gonna do this all over again in February, and I think after you see that show you'll want to take your own damn shot at it.
