Big Night

It's the dream of many a poker player to make the final table of a big online tournament. Winning one of the big Sunday events is a good way to build the bankroll, especially when the first prize is just north of $48K, as was the payout for last night's record-setting $200,000 Sunday Guaranteed event. When you're just about to make the money (or a final table) and you finish one place short it's said that you were knocked out "on the bubble". Well, last night a player named thebubble1 posted a result that belied his name, as he went all the way and took down the biggest Sunday Guaranteed event UB has ever held:

One familiar name at last night's final table was WarrickDunn28, who posted a 6th-place finish in a UBOC event back in December. He finished in 9th last night, but don't feel too bad for him. Because while he was fighting through the masses to make our final table, he was playing in another big online event (at a site which shall remain nameless). He ended up winning that tournament, capping a remarkable night where he battled over 4,000 players, made two final tables, and captured one title. If you were feeling uncharitable you might say that he was showing off. If you were feeling uncharitable.
