Best Damn, Take Two

The first season of The Best Damn Poker Show has come and gone, but if you missed out on your chance for televised poker glory fear not. UltimateBet is already looking for players to fill out the roster for Season 2, and if you're searching for info that might give you the inside track why not check with the folks who made it the first time around?
Once again you can qualify for TBDPS by submitting an audition video, and if you want to see what worked last time there are several videos here to look over and find some inspiration. Perhaps the best video was submitted by Keith Woernle (his impersonation of Phil Hellmuthalone probably guaranteed him a seat) and if you want to hear about his experience he's written a couple of posts about how much fun he had putting his video together and then appearing on the show. Sounds like Keith has enjoyed himself quite a bit--he hobnobbed with poker celebs at Phil's Christmas party, won a tournament at the Venetian, and sat next to World Champion Jerry Yang during an event at the L.A. Poker Classic. I'm almost half-tempted to submit a video myself--fortunately, professional blogger ethics prevent me from doing so. Plus I don't think I'm quite ready to see myself on TV.
But if you're less bashful than I am and you want your time in front of the cameras, now's the time to strike. Start brainstorming ideas for a video, or wait for the Best Damn Poker Show qualifying tournament that UltimateBet will hold in the very near future. And make sure you watch every episode of Season 1 so you can figure out what you need to do to catch Annie and/or Phil's eye. Here's a hint--don't play Q-10 out of position. Don't even think about it.
