Back in December the Main Event of the UltimateBet Online Championship was won by one of the top online poker players in the world, Maria Nuccia, and last night he made a deep run in our $200,000 Guarantee event. Maria Nuccia ended heads-up against the awesomely-named The-Toilet with nearly even chip stacks, but The-Toilet took over a 3-1 lead before the final hand.

After a limp and a call the players saw a flop of Ad-10h-4h, and Maria Nuccia called a $20K bet. The turn was the 3s, which didn't seem like an action card, but when Maria Nuccia led out The-Toilet raised and soon all the chips were in the middle. Maria Nuccia turned over Ah-5s, and The-Toilet turned over 10d-3d, the turn giving him 2 pair. A harmless Qh on the river gave The-Toilet the victory and a $45,000 payday. Maria Nuccia earned $26,500 for his second-place finish.

We had a big turnout last night, 977 players, a nice increase from last week's event. The top 100 paid, but here's how the remaining top ten placed and how much they made:
