Last week UltimateBet introduced its new RAI$E player rewards program and I said that we'd be adding new items to the UltimatePoints Store and the UB Auction site. Looking over the items up for auction there are a few new goodies that would be of considerable interest to the discriminating poker player.
For example, let's say you take down a big online tournament--say, our $200,000 Sunday Guaranteed event. You want to celebrate, but with what? How about a bottle of Dom Perignon? Nice, if a bit predictable. Ah, but what if that bottle was autographed by Phil Hellmuth himself?
I would issue this warning to potential bidders--if you win the auction make sure the bottle your receive is FULL. Because Phil's taste for Dom is well-documented and you'll want to make sure he didn't give in to temptation when he was affixing his signature.
I personally got a chuckle out of auction item # 476, a P0ker H0 shirt signed by the man himself. If you've attended an Aruba Poker Classic you've seen P0ker H0 walking around with this shirt. I'm just at a loss trying to think of another situation where you could wear it and not have to explain the story behind it over and over again. Maybe if you and two buddies all bought one and you all went to a Christmas party...
