Split the Pot

I'm dealing a poker hand in the casino I work at. The game is 1 - 2 NLHE.

Pre-flop the action is raised to 8, 5 players to the flop. Flop comes out A - 4 - 2, all spades. Two players check, next guy bets 15 and is quickly called by the guy after him. Everybody else in the hand folds and the turn brings the 5 of spades.

The guy who led out on the flop now leads out on the turn and bets 30. The other poker player raises it to 75. Both these players had decent sized chip stacks. Man that originally bet the 30 moves all in and is insta-called. The pot is now worth about 500.

They both show their cards: The man that lead out on both the flop and turn shows K 10....with the king of spades, and the other player showed Q J...with the Q of spades.

The river was the 3 of spades to put the straight flush on the board to split the pot. The man with the K started swearing numerous times complaining how unlucky he was, while the guy with the Q kept going on how lucky he was, and the rest of the table in the meantime was in awe and was amazed that such an occurrence had happened.

Needless to say, it was interesting to deal and watch and then listen to the poker players laugh at the player's misfortune who was holding the K of spades.
