Gearing up for UBOC 2

UBOC 2 is slowly creeping towards us. With exactly 1 month to go it's time for me to start thinking about and preparing for these events. Ideally I want to play every event in this series, but realistically I'm not sure that will happen. Trying to commit to something like this is hard. With my travel schedule already pushed to its limits, being able to sit down and play 13 poker tournaments over a 10 day period poses a problem in itself.
For me, a series like this is something to look forward to, but what does it take to play all of these and do well?
Bankroll is obviously a factor. With a total of somewhere in the area of 4k to play all these events, the majority of players must look at playing feeders to gain entry. Trying to figure which tournaments are priorities, and finding a feeder that fits your schedule can sometimes be hard. Luckily for you any feeder will do. If you are able to play a feeder and win entry, you can UN register and use the poker tournament dollars to register for any of the events.
I also think it's important to start thinking about feeders as early as possible. You don't want it to be a few days before the series before starting to play these. Set aside a given amount of your bankroll that you feel comfortable with, and use it to play feeders. If you only gain entry into a couple of these events, maybe choose to play the earliest ones possible on the schedule. That way if you are playing good, and finishing deep, you might have some extra $ to play more feeders, or direct buy in.
The mental part of the poker game in a series like this is something I take very serious. Having a family and a busy schedule can sometimes make sitting in front of the computer for 10 straight days impossible. I will not sit to play a poker event unless I know I have total focus on the tournament. If I find that I'm getting tired and burned out of playing every day, or that my play isn't up to par, I will look for a day off in the middle of the schedule. I'm not 21 anymore. I don't have the kind of focus I had 5 years ago, so I need to take necessary steps to ensure I can play to the best of my ability.
One last thing to think about is consistency. With $100k in total money up for grabs for the top 20 overall finishers, it's important to play as consistent as possible. After all this is free money. Don't ever give up on a tournament. You never know if a few extra spots can gain you some extra cash.
Hope to see you in all these events
Good Luck,
Debo
