Sometimes I feel so fortunate

I am on the tail end of a vacation trip that has seen a lot of action. The first few days I participated as an instructor in the WSOP academy camp at Caesars palace. This was a two day camp with a ton of instructors, and close to 200 students. I always enjoy these, because it gives me a chance to better my game by listening to the other great instructors, and asking questions.
Annie Duke, Howard Lederer, Paul Wasicka, Andy Bloch, and Phil Gordon were among the instructors. It was a very busy 2 days that ended Saturday night. After the camp was over it was time to have some fun. Shawn Rice had organized a fun event for us. Several of us went to dinner, then got in a huge Hummer Limo and headed over to Mandalay Bay to go to a Van Halen concert. Knowing in advance that we were going to do this led me to fly my wife down for 2 days. I knew this was going to be a fun night and wanted to share it with her. The really cool part of this was that we were going to a rock concert, with rock stars. Scott Ian and badass girlfriend rocker Pearl Aday joined us for the night. How cool was this?
As if this wasn't enough, at the last minute we had a 9th person join the group, the great Phil Hellmuth. Phil had just finished up his day playing the 25k at the Bellagio and decided to come over for the show.
The concert was a blast. Van Halen still has it after all these years. They played all the old hits, and despite being what appeared to be 90 years of age, David Lee Roth still had some moves left in the tank.
After the show, we went to a club inside Mandalay Bay called the forty deuce or something like that. We had a blast at the club, and were there pretty late from what I can remember. All I know is that if there is a cooler more fun group to hang out and party with, someone needs to introduce me.
It's weekends like these that makes me appreciate playing poker for a living. Over the years poker has afforded me many awesome nights such as this.
I feel very fortunate!
