On the move

I always seem to talk about how busy I am or have been. In general this isn't a complaint, only a statement. Life is very good to me and despite being gone a lot; poker has afforded me a great lifestyle. These upcoming months will probably put me to the test though. I, along with my good friend Kurt, am currently in the middle of a pretty big project. We are building 2 houses side by side for the both of our families to live in. It's really kind of cool, considering we have known each other since we were 15 and now we are going to be neighbors. We decided to do as much work as possible on the 2 houses ourselves. I was in construction for 12 years and he has built many houses and owns a plumbing company. The timing of it all is a little bad considering I am going to be gone off and on for the better part of 7 weeks for the WSOP.
I've went in on renting a 8 bedroom house in Vegas with 7 friends and plan on being there at least 4 of the 7 weeks. So between playing poker to make a living, building a house and the WSOP, I am swamped.
When we were in Vegas for the WSOP Academy, p0ker h0 challenged me and Shawn Rice to a weight loss bet. He said he would bet $10,000 that he could lose more total pounds than me and Shawn combined. When we heard this challenge Shawn said one of his signature sayings, "DOWN BOY" and it was on. The bet is total weight loss between now and Aruba. H0 says he is going to lose 50 pounds and I truly believe he will, but let me tell you it might be the best 10k he ever spends. At the weigh in I was 246 pounds….ouch! My goal is to lose 46 total pounds and come into Aruba at 200 pounds, still not exactly a lightweight, but a huge improvement. I haven't been 200 pounds since I got married in 1994. I'm motivated and ready to roll, and let me tell you building on a house every day is helping me out a lot.
I'm not going to say how much I've lost because i don't want h0 thinking he has to try very hard…all I can say is thanks for the $$ bud!
