Hello Ub'ers
This has been a wonderful break. I have been home since the Five Diamond in Las Vegas in mid December. I was going to play the event and decided not to at the last minute as my sleep schedule was all messed up and if I was going to put up $15,000 I wanted to be at my best and not try and just make it through day 1 and then get back on schedule. I went down to root Scott Ian as I knew he was playing and we was doing really well , Scott was well above average chips with Phil Ivey who was the chipleader at the time to his immediate left. I read later he decided to take a gamble in day 2 and it didn't go his way and he was out. There is a rumor that he is taking lessons from Annie and is really taking this game serious. I spent the holidays at home and was planning on going to Tunica and playing the main event but I realized I would be away from home til atleast early May, I decided to pass on it.
I am really glad I did as my good friend Hoyt Corkins took second in the event. Well done champ!!! I would hate to think I went and played the event and now the cards are all different and I would of cost him his great finish. Then again I might of cost him his win,lol.
As I write this I am in Vegas for a concert tomorrow (on stage with Sammy Hagar and about 30 other Redheads) and for the Superbowl on Sunday. There is another rumor that I bet a good size figure and layed 4 to 1 that New England wins the game outright with no points involved. Everyone I talk to LOVED the Giants. This make me like New England even more. I will also play some of the local Bellagio and Venetian Deep Stack tourneys in early February til I head off to LA for the Classic main event and the Celebrity Invitational. This tourney should be a blast as we are qualifying many online players for this event, I think Victor Bigio will be there hosting some fun parties and get-togethers. This will be fun times. After Canada I am off to Reno, I can't wait. I will be there a good weak early and plan on going snowmobiling with the boys. I took a drive down with Sassy last year to Lake Tahoe and this place is heaven on earth. I have never seen anything like it in the states. I hope to check it out again this year. After Reno it's back to Vegas for the long month of Bellagio events upto the WPT Championships and the monster $25,000 buyin. Just after this event Ceasers has their WSOP Circuit Event which will be a great turnout. Then I hope to have the month of May off as I get ready for the seven weeks of the WSOP. Last year I was lucky enough to do a few radio sessions with ESPN/Bluff Radio. This was a blast and hope I get asked to do some more of these. Somewhere in all this I am hoping to goto Costa Rica for a week or so and help Annie once again as her coach vs. Phil and his coach P0ker H0. This was long hours last time, but it was really fun time. I was told The Best Damn Poker Show airs on Feb. 11th in Fox Sports Net, check it out, You will see many of the people you often play online with, along with a couple of celebs and rock stars. Make sure you root for Annie and I as we try and kick Phil's and H0's butt.
