What is Blackjack?Blackjack is one of the most popular casino card games. The goal of the game is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. In our single player blackjack game, no other players are involved. You play against the dealer who has the same goal as you. How do I play Blackjack?

Can I play for play chips?
Yes you can. When you click on Single Player Blackjack on the game application, a window will pop up, select the "Fun Money" option.
Are the rules the same as what I've experienced at the tables in Vegas?
Blackjack at UltimateBet emulates Blackjack as it is played in all major bricks and mortar casinos, including those in Nevada, New Jersey and Mississippi. Consult our rules for more information.
Can other players join me at the tables?
No. Single Player Blackjack at UltimateBet is played one-on-one - you against the dealer.
Can I use the chips in my UltimateBet account to play blackjack?
Yes, blackjack uses the same wallet you have for poker.
How can I be sure about the randomness of each shuffle?
We employ the same Random Number Generation system in Blackjack that has made our site world-famous for poker security and fairness. An overview of the system that we use, and the methods by which we've approached Random Number Generation and card shuffling can be found here.
Do I need to download separate software to play Blackjack?
No. Blackjack is played in the same environment as poker at UltimateBet. You don't need to download any new software. If you don't yet have the software on your computer, download it here.
Can I use my UltimateBet username to play Blackjack?
Absolutely. In fact, you need your UltimateBet username to access the Blackjack tables.
How many decks are in the shoe?
There are six decks in the shoe.
How far through the shoe does the deal go before the decks are shuffled again?
All cards will be shuffled before each hand.
If player and dealer both have blackjack, what happens?
There are two possibilities:
- Player is dealt Blackjack and dealer has 10 or face card showing:
Dealer will check for Blackjack. If dealer has Blackjack, then the result is a push. No insurance will be offered prior to the dealer checking for Blackjack. - Player is dealt Blackjack and dealer has an Ace showing:
