Slowing DownPosted: 2008-10-04 16:32:23By: Gene Bromberg We're still five-handed, Johan Storackers has used some big hands (Aces, Ace-King) to pick up some chips. In fact, there was just a hand where the flop came Q-J-10 and three players had big hands. Johan, holding Ace-King, flopped Broadway, Matt Brady flopped middle set, and Brandon Terry flopped a Queen-high straight while holding 8-9. All three players decided to be cagey and check their hands...when a King came on the turn. That killed Johan's action, as he min-raised Brandon's 50,000 bet and Matt chose to muck his hand because Brandon would almost certainly shove if he also held an Ace. If a blank came on the turn we might've seen some serious fireworks. As it was, Johan picked up another pot and now sits with around 1.4 million. |
